SS15 has now resorted to sneaking books well after bed time instead of screens. Which has resulted in him being late for school yesterday morning as he goes back to bed. School starts at 8.40am...the front door didn't slam shut until almost 9am. I have been working second shift plus not my kid, etc. so I don't get up to babysit.

SS admitted he'd fallen asleep in bed as the reason he was late. So last night I went in his room at 10.30pm and he has six books stacked in front of him, merrily reading away. I just smiled and said "So, cleaning tomorrow it is then! Same as before and I'll take those books. I'm going to change the PS4 password right now. Goodnight!"

This morning I got about around 8.15am because mother nature insisted. Guess who's in his bed, faaaaaaast asleep. Would've been late again, had I not woke him up. After banging on the bed to wake him up and telling him to GET OUT OF BED NOWWWW, I just said "TWO days without PS4 and cleaning things it is, then. This is great, my house is going to look so good . "

This is also his last day of school before Winter Break so he's not only going to spend today cleaning but tomorrow (Thursday) as well. His first day of break. What a way to start.

I didn't expect the punishment to work overnight. He IS 15 after all but, if consistent, I think he'll get really dang tired of scrubbing and polishing and just might start thinking that doing what he's supposed to would so much easier.

EDIT: I warned him last time that I'd remove my bank card from his PS4 account. I looked in the history and his 3-month subscription I WAS paying for runs out on 12/25. And it will stay run out. Merry Christmas, SS!
