OT - Queasy Aps
Queasy = Quick + Easy. It's been an inside joke in my family for years.
We're going to a Halloween party this weekend (costumes - woo hoo!!!). While I already know what I'm taking (tortilla roll-ups using Spinach and Sundried Tomato tortillas - the tomato ones look more orange than red), I'm always open to new 'queasy' appetizer recipes. Someone might have one (or 3 or 7) I can use for another holiday.
Any queasy recipes you'd like to share, STalkers?

Classy, I haven't had those in YEARS!!! People always made them with that really thin lunchmeat (Buddig??). I distinctly recall a not-so-handy-in-the-kitchen woman saying it was "too hard to spread cream cheese on the pickles". LMAO!!!!!

Woot! we're having a
Woot! we're having a Halloween party this weekend too! but it's for BS7 and his friends, so I'm making all kid friendly stuff. We're having Petrified Bats (tortilla cut out in bat shapes, dipped in butter and then cinnamon and sugar and baked for 10 minutes) We did a trial run this weekend and they were YUMMY!! I'm also making Swamp Jello. You put fruit cocktail in the bottom of a clean fish bowl, then add a small skeleton and a tire or matchbox or something, and a few sprigs of endive, then mix blue, green and yellow jello for a "swampy" color and poor in and refrigerate. Monster Mash (popcorn, pretzels, candy eyeballs etc with melted marshmallows) and Witch's Sticks (pretzel rods dipped in melted green candy melts with Halloween sprinkles.)
They are going to play a bunch of games (pin the face on the skeleton, spider web toss, donuts on a string, apple bobbing) They are each making their own Halloween canvas painting with squirt guns and then we are having a spooky scavenger hunt that will lead them to their treat bags.
I don't know who is more excited, BS7 or me!!! I loooooovveeeee Halloween!
Hope you have an awesome party!
Daizy, I've seen candy
Daizy, I've seen candy skeleton pieces that you use in place of a plastic skeleton. You know, because kids need MORE sugar... }:)

Tie donuts on a string and hang a couple inches above each kids head. They have to try and eat the donut off the string, but can't use their hands.
Daizy, have you ever played
Daizy, have you ever played Chubby Bunny?

no never heard of that one?
Chubby Bunny is a marshmallow
Chubby Bunny is a marshmallow game. You tuck a regular-sized marshmallow in the SIDE of your mouth and say "Chubby Bunny". Tuck in another marshmallow and repeat. You keep going until you can no longer say "Chubby Bunny" coherently. Please note that the marshmallows are tucked IN THE SIDE of the mouth, between your cheek and gums. You do not just shove a bunch of marshmallows in your mouth.
If you don't think the children will be supervised well enough or that it could be hazardous, don't play. I have only played this game at Adults Only parties and we are laughing so hard, we're crying. BTW, we keep plastic (opaque) grocery (Walmart) bags immediately at hand to spit out the marshmallows when we can no longer continue.
spit out.. woman... you have
:jawdrop: spit out.. woman... you have to chew and swallow..
