The SDs return today after 3.5 weeks away.
Wow, it was so nice to have the peaceful house, cleaned up, no yelling.

Discussed some things with DP the last couple of days because we are leaving on our trip on Sunday and a whole bunch of stuff needs to happen and should be addressed. And outstanding things still remaining unresolved.

* clean their bathroom or a house cleaner will be called again, by Thursday.

* Their rooms are a disaster but I have successfully held my tongue about it.

* I did not hold my tongue about some missing kitchen items I needed in the last couple weeks (and we only have two cereal bowls in the kitchen (at least 4 are "missing"). DP did not get it; I said, well, you aren't the one who's cooking are you - going for something I need to COOK DINNER WITH and it's not there...WTF? If I don't have it and you don't have it who does?! (of course it just couldn't be one of the SDs now could it!)

* I went grocery shopping yesterday and specifically told DP that I shopped for he and I and for three dinners. If the SDs need/want anything HE needs to get it.

* I will be doing laundry and packing on Saturday afternoon. The SDs will be helping with their laundry and I'll monitor their packing (the last trip SD12 brought a blanket from her bed, ending up with little room in her suitcase and SD10 brought ALL of her shirts plus hid her wallet with cash and ALL her gift cards in it - I about had a heart attack when I discovered that - she's lucky we didn't check her luggage.

* Any overnights need to be arranged only by DP. I have too much to do on top of working.

* DP asked if he was "too soft" on SD12. "Um, OMG YES!"

* The craft shop where SD10 still has $18 on her gift card is closing...suggested several times to DP he take her there and spend every dime otherwise it's gone. I think he's actually going to do this.

* He contacted BM to request all their summer stuff and SD10s underwear come back to our place (SD10 is missing 12 pairs of underwear, newly bought this April) since we need the stuff for our trip. Otherwise SDs will be sink washing clothing because we are not buying them anything new, AGAIN.

* SD12 wanted to do a photo project for our wedding - she needs to get on that and I will provide picture frames for her. Otherwise, she's outta luck. DP is going to remind her.

tonight should be fun at home. I predict chaos!
