Fall is absolutely my
Fall is absolutely my favorite time of the year, and I am so glad I live in the Midwest so I get to experience it
I do pumpkins, hay, gourds, and a small scarecrow
I used to have a huge
I used to have a huge Halloween party every year, I would go all Martha Stewart and crazy with decorations... you know... ball jars with candles covered with mesh and spiders, a friend made me a coffin that we used as a coffee table, the "danger do not enter" tape over doorways, mini pumpkins carved out and lit up and hung from the front deck ceiling, breadsticks that look like fingers, eyeballs in the punch.... GAH!! so much fun!!!
We live so far out now that even if I had a party I don't think anyone would come and then want to drive home, so haven't had one in years, but I miss it!
My BFF has a party now at her place though (more so for the kids) that is a hoot! She has TONS of cool decorations (talking witches, flying ghosts etc) and she has a scarecrow decorating contest, candy hunt and then they do a hay ride out in their woods and they have people who dress up and hide and scare everyone. It's a blast!!!
That reminds me I saw a
That reminds me I saw a really cool idea on pinterest where you take cornstalks and put them inside pallets and make a spooky walkway. I was thinking it would so cool to line your sidewalk on both sides for a Halloween party.

I love Fall and do decorate
I love Fall and do decorate for it. I love the weather, the colors, the smell. I could do Fall all year 'round.
LOVE to decorate for fall!
LOVE to decorate for fall! Last year I had over 100 cornstalks, 50 pumpkins and of course a whole bunch of other CRAP and that was just outside! lol I decorate the horse barn, I decorate along the driveway, the mailbox, in front of the garage and of course the front deck of the house. The only sucky thing is taking all that stuff down after Thanksgiving when I am wanting to decorate for my next favorite holiday Christmas!! It's usually cold and nasty and I'm exhausted by the time I get all the fall stuff down and the Christmas stuff up!
....and of course DH is ZERO help. He'd be just as happy to have nothing. grrrr

Ditto. He does manage to tote the live christmas tree every year from the store into the house and helps level it. The end.
Ok.. yes, I WILL give my DH
Ok.. yes, I WILL give my DH credit for a the couple of things he did last year... he DID help me chop all the cornstalks and bundle them up and he DID help me carry some of the pumpkins around to where I wanted them and he DID go with me to cut down the Christmas tree... but that's as far as his involvement goes.

I decorate for Fall. I got some cute glowing glass pumpkins at Pier One the other day and some tea towels.. I love Thanksgiving and can't wait to host it! I have the skids this year for the first time since they were little. Hopefully they won't be douchebags.

lol WOB thankfully not. for
lol WOB thankfully not. for the winter here, daytime averages upper 30's, lower 40's, but it's not unusual to have entire days in teens or twenty's. we had a few days last winter that were single digits. night time temps can be brutal too from time to time. it seems to average about 10' above where i grew up, which to me is not that huge of a difference. BUT what makes the biggest difference is that winter starts in december and is o-v-e-r by beg of march!
I don't decorate for Fall,
I don't decorate for Fall, but I love the smell of things went they start decaying (except bodies...). The air here already has a unique, spicy smell, but when you add the autumn leaves.... I wish I could bottle it. About the only thing I do is go with Fall scents: pumpkin, apple cider. My fave thing to do is put some whole cloves into a mini 1-cup "crockpot" with 3/4 cup of water. Yum!!
Winter is my thing and we go all out for Christmas: 3 full-sized trees, a 3-ft tree, 2 mini tabletop trees, 3 nativity sets, tea towels, scented soap, rugs... This year I want to make wreaths: one from candy canes and another from cedar.
I've been in condos for most
I've been in condos for most of the past 30 years so decorating has meant a wreath on my front door. A few things inside but not much as I had no place to store the stuff.
We just bought a house and I'm looking forward to decorating. For years now I see all the cute stuff in the stores and have thought I have no place to put that - either to use it or to store it.
I prefer to decorate for autumn so I have leave it up for a couple of months instead of getting Halloween stuff that needs to come down by Nov.
