In a Predicament but Counting on BM's Mess Up to Help Us OUt
BM is supposed to pick up SS14 directly from school on her Fridays at 3, or after any activity he is involved in. When no school is in session, DH and BM meet at a midway point at 7 pm. This was set when DH was working to allow him to get home, feed SS and then get to the spot with a consideration for traffic to ensure he could do all. BM didn't want to pick up pow lidow SS at an empty scoo becaws it is not safe.
Any way. She has no idea what the school schedule is. She hasn't gone into the school to get information and they have no idea who she is. She didn't bother calling for her scheduled call yesterday, so SS couldn't remind her.
Our predicament is that DH's car is in the shop right now. DD13 will be performing in our town at 7 pm and I will be attending her opening night. We anticipate that BM will show up at three, text dh something along the lines of "why didn't you tell me school was out early. I guess i cant trust our son to tell me anything. you better tell me where he is our I'm calling the police... " you get the picture.
In the past when she's messed up, we just tell her "CO states xyz. We will see you at XYZ". and that's the end of the story. This would have been fun to make her drive back out to the half way point 4 hours later, but... this time, we'll probably allow her to get ss by asking her to meet us in about an hour at a local bus station.
She always messes up on these things. Whether it's the time, the location, and she surely doe not bother reading any schedules. I've decided that since she's such a GUNT, I'm not going to write out a new schedule for her every six month so she has the proper info. She can read her own damned court order and figure it out herself. She'll be the one getting it wrong. Not us.
For example, the day after Thanksgiving was her Friday. No school. Meant the exchange happened at 7 at halfway point. She texts DH at 4:45 stating she was running late as for some reason she thought it was a 5 pm - even told SS that because he was asking us why we werent leaving yet. DH texted back that NO, it's seven on non-school fridays. She yelled that he was wrong and the CO says 5. He just said, send me the language in the court order where it says 5 and I'll be right there. Then she responds, "fine, I'll see you at 7".
So, hopefully, BM will screw up and releive us of our predicament.

Um no. She's not that smart.
Um no. She's not that smart. She showed up at three on Halloween when school was out at noon.
She's been an absent mon since SS was 5 and just came back in the pic when I came around when SS was 11. I write out a calendar because there exchange times fluctuate and the Xmas / easter / mom/ dad day schedules are all different and are only 24 hours and alternate.
She'd say "if you're nt there
She'd say "if you're nt there in calling the cops". Seriously.
If she doesn't show up at
If she doesn't show up at school then DH will probably just drop me off 30 minutes early (then I can get a good seat) and he'll do the drive. No use causing unnecessary drama ... As it always does. That's why we just follow the court order and encourage her not to break the RO.
