Stupid people.
I am on a few sites on FB that are "buy sell and trade" sites. Basically people post what they want to sell. Sometimes they post other things. One post I will copy and paste...
"I have a friend that is in need this holiday season. She is a single mother of two girls...one is almost 4 the other is 15 months. She is also due to give birth Dec 12th to a boy. She needs food, clothing and kids clothes. Diapers and formula. Can anyone help out this poor single mom?"
I so want to post .... I will contribute to a tuba ligation!
Why do people just keep popping kids out that they can not afford?! Makes me sick. Especially when they start asking for handouts.

THAT IS TERRIBLE!
THAT IS TERRIBLE!
I saw a post on Facebook
I saw a post on Facebook recently for something similar. One of my "friends" posted that she had a friend about to have a new baby (not her first) and was in need of clothes and baby blankets.
I wanted to reply with, "whoops, already promised all my baby blankets to the animal shelter".
I get what you all are
I get what you all are saying, but I am praying for her because she chose life. Go ahead and hammer me if you wish, but it does no good to be snarky now that she is close to having her baby. Besides, none of us know her circumstances, don't judge.
I totally agree 100%!! Birth
I totally agree 100%!! Birth control is free at the clinic, FREE!! if you can't keep your legs closed use it!!
You don't know WHY she is a
You don't know WHY she is a single, about to give birth mother.
For all you know her partner was killed somehow.
Don't judge.
Why? Because if they keep
Why? Because if they keep crapping out kids, they'll keep getting welfare ... more and more of it.
One year at work we did some Christmas thing where a "needy family" in the area was selected. They made a list of their wants and each employee, if they wanted to participate, would commit to buying an item. It's all in the spirit of "every child should have a present to open on Christmas, it's not fair that they go without because their parents can't afford it," etc. etc.
Not a big deal when you see things like "girls winter jacket, size 7/8" or "boys underwear." Actually, that makes it believable. And kind of sad. But when I see things like "Xbox gaming system" or "Skylanders for the Wii" ... yeah ok.
Maybe someone should offer the sage advice of "keeping her legs closed"? :?
I grabbed a paper mitten off
I grabbed a paper mitten off of the tree at one of the local shopping centers to help a needy kid out for Christmas and I picked a 3 year old boy...I was drawn to him because he was asking for necessities and the only toys he wanted were fairly cheap...play dough, markers and books. I plan to buy him a few extra toys just because I want to. I mean obviously he is a 3 year old so his parent helped say what he needed and when I look at the toys I am impressed because markers..they create art, the play dough well what kid doesn't like play dough and the books tells me his parent will read to him. I was just touched by it...one of the things was underwear on there. It made me sad. My kids never go without and some kids, their parents are really trying BUT they just cant do it without help. DH came home with one he picked and it was a 6 year old girl and she wasn't asking for much either. I love helping others around the holidays but it also kind of hurts to know that their are children out there that don't get Christmas's like my kids do.

Oh puleeez. She popped out 3 babies in 4 years and is having to get food and clothing for those babies form strangers. Our society has made it too acceptable to take handouts from hard working people.
Am I judging...maybe. but the fact of the situation is that she needs to stop popping out kids she can not afford. Common sense people.
I be supportive of it if the
I be supportive of it if the bio dad had passed away, I sure couldn't imagine raising 3 kids as a single parent this day and age.
No to sound snarky Starla -
No to sound snarky Starla - and certainly not at you.
But that happened to me. 2 kids, ages 3 and 5 at the time. And I did it just fine. Remember, when parents pass and leave minor-aged children, social security kicks in for each child - 75% of the parent's wages paid in a monthly sum, every month until they are 18. And in extreme cases, social security is also paid to the surviving spouse.
Not in every country.... I
Not in every country....
I agree again with the don't judge - we do NOT know this ladies circumstances.
>Can anyone help out this
>Can anyone help out this poor single mom?<
Yeah...urm...Sorry, but my kids need new iPad minis for Christmas.
I've had the exact same kind
I've had the exact same kind of experience.
I get called to help out some "poor family in need". Bringing them furniture, clothes, canned goods, etc. I'm struggling trying to get a couch through a narrow doorframe for these people and see a perfectly able bodied teen playing on a playstation. A woman dressed to the nines (I'm guessing the mother) is sitting in the kitchen smoking and talking on a cell phone. And I am told they are "needy". There are a few people out there who do heavily rely on charity to get by, but now days, especially at this time of the year, my money and my time is better served looking after me and my own.
When it comes to babies and
When it comes to babies and pets it does seem as if the ones who are least able to care for them properly have the most. Lack of planning or preparing for anything in advance.
Unexpected situations can happen to anyone, but as another poster mentioned repeated times is different. I have a neighbor who can not pay her rent, asks for loans from anyone she can to pay for utilities and phone. Yet she has just taken in her 4th dog. None have shots, flea meds, or see a vet. She requests help from neighbors, friends and any organization that will listen.
It does get aggravating to many of us that made choices to limit our desires, pay our own way in life and live frugally to provide for our own.

BWAHAHA! Too funny. And FYI - a run away baby daddy was mentioned in the comments. I just left it out because it was on in the original post and I did not really think people would jump to defend a woman who is pumping out babies she can not support.
