HOW DID YOU ADJUST?

Tomorrow is the big day! I'm going to drive myself crazy.

Well tomorrow is the day we might find out if we get the SK full time. I'm excited and worried. Excited that they will get a new lease on life if given the opportunity to live with us and worried that I might not be able to handle it.

I was thinking last night that we might not find out tomorrow, considering it took all day just to have DH's ex on the stand in a child custody case, it may take way longer in a rape case. The judge in this case however doesn't like to interrupt school years so he might speed up the process. But with our luck it'll go on for another year and by the time we get custody SS will only have 2 yrs left.

Can't help but think about this, I've been over thinking it all weekend and I know that it's going to be heartbreaking if we don't win this time. Just as it was the other 2 times we lost. I've been trying to keep myself busy with work, my house is spotless, so maybe I'll try some crafts when I get home to take my mind off it all.

I would like to know how anyone that gained custody of their kids/step kids adjusted. Was it hard to adjust to a child living in your home? How did those with kids of their own handle the new additions? Any suggestions?

I know. :? that's what worries me. It would be SS15 and SD11 the 11 yr old is the one I'm worried about. She's more than a hand full by herself. However, I think with the right guidance she would be fine. But the Lord is going to have to give me strength everyday because I'm going to go crazy! With or with out them!
