SD keeps lying
Anyone had an issue with a skid incessantly lying? I got my hair done by the same lady who did SD7's hair and the hairdresser told me that SD7 told her that me and her father weren't married and that I was just his girlfriend. She also maintained the lie's of abuse going on in the house. We've had DSS in our house twice because of her false claims and they always see that her and my BD2 have a warm, loving home and SD7 is just having trouble coping with the fact that BM no longer lives there.

I have a SD11 that constantly
I have a SD11 that constantly lies about things that don't even matter. She just fessed up to lying once again last night. She claims that she wants DH and BM back together so she's trying to get us to split up. I've read that it's more common in girls of divorce doing this because of that reason, but I tend to think it should stop at some point. My SD was 3 when her parents divorced and I've been with DH since she was 6 yet it continues.
that's insane! 5 years! I
that's insane! 5 years! :jawdrop: I have THAT to look forward to? Well we already sat her down and explained to her that BM will not come back into the house and DH and BM will never be together again. But it is still not enough. Her school counselor told us that even at 7, her GOAL is to get DH and BM back together. Originally when me and DH first got together, her goal was for us all to be one big happy family. But now she wants me either out of the picture or still around so I can continue to support her financially. She called me her "other mom", but lied and say that I was her "daddy's girlfriend" so she does at least see me as a maternal figure. I guess I should be thankful??? lol
Yep! SS14 and SS8 both lie
Yep! SS14 and SS8 both lie constantly, even about stuff that doesn't matter. COnstantly. The other morning, I asked SS8 if he had packed his snack for camp. He said yes. A few minutes later, when DH asked him, he said no, I forgot.
???????
Why? I know kids lie to get out of trouble and whatnot, but why lie for no reason?
lol I wonder why they would
lol I wonder why they would lie about something like that. Maybe it's a way to maintain some kind of control over the situation.
Some small lies, mostly
Some small lies, mostly though there is a carefully tailored story, one for FDH and one for BM. My nieces and nephews lie the same way. I don't have bios but I have a feeling all kids lie as a way to manipulate their situation. It's how the lying is dealt with will determine whether the child continues the behavior.
SD15 lies ALL.THE.TIME. but
SD15 lies ALL.THE.TIME. but so do her BM and Grandma who she lived with until SD moved in with us in April (*gag*)
What drives me bonkers is that DH knows she is a lier, has been calling her out for years on her stupid little lies, big lies and everything in between, but once she moved in with us, it's like he forgot or something. He'll tell me the most ridiculous stuff she has said and I just look at him and blink.... like really??? and you believe this shit??? ARGH!
lol
lol
SS doesn't lie. He really
SS doesn't lie. He really doesn't talk much about anything. His sister, however, (not my husband's kid) lies about EVERYTHING. Like, about the weirdest, most random crap that doesn't even matter. If she was my skid, it would probably drive me nuts. But she's not, so I just think it's weird.
Virtually everything that
Virtually everything that comes out of my SD's nasty little gob is a lie. Even stuff that doesn't need lying about. She's told such vile lies over the years, some of which nearly got me arrested, and she's lied and got a kid she didn't like expelled from school.
