Were you ever bullied as a child???

I know bullying is a big topic in school now, SD and I have talked about it and I am proud that she stood up for this girl on her bus that was getting bullied. Well I had a grade school class reunion this past weekend ( I went to private school in a small town) I was really hesitant to bring DH because I had never told anyone other than my close friends from that school who witnessed it about how mean these kids used to be to me because my parents smoked in the house and my clothes and Hair always smelled of smoke. I got picked on daily and no one ever stood up for me. Well I went all gussied up (just lost 35lbs and back in my pre pregnancy cloths.) Everyone was so nice and I even got hit on by my old crush (who never gave me the time of day before) when my husband was getting some drinks. It kind of reminded me of that movie Roamie and Michel lol ( spelling???) I couldn’t believe I was so nervous to come. I guess people do grow up & learn from their past… Well most because I had one little prick had the nerve to come up to me and my friends while my husband was in the bathroom and said “ well looky there Smokey and the Nerd Heard”… I knew better but I laid his ass out right there in front of everyone. (Part of my weight loss programs was kick boxing and I had become quite good at it. DH had returned while the guy lay on the ground holding his jaw. DH” um everything okay here?” Me” yep I handled it… smirking at my “nerd Herd Friends” I know violence is never the answer but man that guy had it coming. I have been really nervous this week in case this guy presses charges, but I think if he was going to he would have already done so…..

This is very true. In college I kept being harassed by a girl who would buy a prepaid cell phone and text me really rotten things. I took it to campus security and the police but they said they couldn't do anything about it because I couldn't prove who it was texting me. I tried changing my number, changing dorms, all sorts of stuff, but it got to the point I didn't want to look at my cell because I knew there would be a nasty message from that girl.

I think kids today do have it worse and have the advantages to do it more with socail media and such, but also back then it wasn't as big deal as it is now. Like I said violence is never the answear and I should have handled it better but at the heat of the moment it happened. All those horrible memories came flying back to me and I had a little liquid courage in me at the time.... lol. ANyways There are such thing as teasing and joking and then there is bullying, SOme of these kids would form circles around me calling me names and push me and follow me home harrasing me. CAll my house and say "I smell smoke is your house on fire!" it was very tramatic. Now i look back i should have talked to someone about it but i was afraid it would get worse. This is my point of this blog. Kids will tease, talk behind people backs and joke around but I think all kids should know when to draw the line. (Eaiser said than done i know) The tramatising effects it can have on someone younger or older is horrible. Now where my actions were very wrong i will admit it felt good, even if i did get areested it would have been worth it ( to me not to my record)

I love ROMY & MICHELLE HIGH SCHOOL REUNION, its such an awesome MOVIE!!!

I was made fun of in Elementary School and High School, ironically it is a 10 year HS Reunion, in my town this weekend. LOL, I was never invited to go, actually my ex MIL told me about it as DDs Father might go, thats how POPULAR I was, not even invited to the reunion lol. I told her the only way I would go is if I was a "Multi Millionaire" lol.
In all honesty, I havent graduated university as I had my daughter while attending, I am only 6 credits away from getting my BA, but I work as a receptionist at the moment.
So not to sound materialistic, those kids that did make fun of me, are a head of me now, financially. Although I do believe that things will change.

I will admit, I look WAY better then most of them, so that is satisfying enough to me and I am actually a nice person, not an ignorant prick....

SD had this problem, I said dont worry in 10 YEARS, all the kids that were mean will gain 10 lbs or more and you'll walk by them and they will be blown away.

I am glad you got to rub it in your former crushes face lol!!!!
