Why does it feel like competition.. With a child?!?! I'm not the other woman! WTF..How did this happen?!
I swear..More and more I'm noticing stupid things that irritate the hell out of me. Like my loofa incident. She(SD11)kept moving her shit into my space in the bath tub. She seems to move her stuff or herself into my space.. Like a freakin turf war. How did this happen? I am a grown ass woman and it seems like I have an 11 year old CHILD trying to push me out of the way. She is DH's daughter. I am DH's wife. Two completely different types of relationships here. Does she not know the difference? I am not the new girlfriend. DH has been with me since she was 3 years old. She doesn't remember anyone else. I have noticed that she will move things in the kitchen too. Since I do most of the cooking and cleaning, I have the kitchen set up like I like it and I've noticed lately, she keeps moving the bowls in the cupboard. I have them arranged the way they need to be and have been since we moved in our house 7 years ago. I swear she does this to irritate me. It's strange that now she is 11 she seems to want to crawl into DH. She will try to sit as close to him as possible on the couch, especially if she thinks I'm going to sit down. This was never a problem until a few weeks ago. I can't think of anymore examples right now, but I swear she trys to act like the wife protecting her turf from another woman. So weird!

It's a very weird phenomenon
It's a very weird phenomenon to have to deal with, indeed.
I deal with the competition with SS13 - which is even more odd to me.
For example, yesterday I arrived home with the kids. DH was in the drive way sanding a dresser. Kids all said hi and I walked over to dh to give him a hug and a kiss. When SS saw him being flirty with me, he weasels his way over and asked DH, "can i have a hug and kiss too Dad".
I'm like, WTF? Seriously?
It's like they are dogs. They
It's like they are dogs. They wanna piss all over their territory to mark their spot.
Don't let her get away with this. Pull her up on it every single time she does it and do it in front of DH. Also, get DH to have a talk with her and explain the difference in relationships.
DH has to teach her how to treat you with respect. By treating YOU like shit, she is essentially treating your relationship with DH like shit.
He has to make it clear to her otherwise, she'll just get steadily worse, as she grows older.
