Happy Mother's Day to all of us!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone (especially those of us who are childless ourselves). At times I wonder why the heck I'm doing this...and then there are the easy times that help us get through the bad times. Unfortunately right now I'm in a tough time where I'm just frustrated with the lack of knowledge (and ok I am admit it - control) over situations. I've learned a lot from those of you on here about letting go and I' m trying to do it. It's just hard when you feel like an outsider in your own home.

If someone would have told me how difficult this adventure would have been, I wouldn't have believe them. I just want to be happy and at peace. No one signs up to be stressed all the time.

Hugs to all the wonderful step moms out there who keep the family going, help their DH navigate troubled waters with their EXs and love their children.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone as well. My girl always calls me and usually sends a nice card. DH usually gets me flowers and either takes me out to eat or makes my favorite meal. That's really all I could ask for!

This will only be my 2nd Mother's Day as a step-mom, last year I got no acknowledgement, which I expected. I doubt I will get any recognition this year either, despite having been essentially the sole parent to SS3 and SS9 for 6 of the 12 months in the year. But whatever. Like someone else said, I just look forward to not having the SKids and pretending the day does not exist! Happy Mother's Day to you all!

Happy Mother's Day!! I'm sure I won't be acknowledged either even though we all definitely should be. Maybe we should make a step Mother's Day!! As I was reading this my SS walked up and handed me a flower and said I love you. Good timing boy!! Lol Wink after reading these stories it makes me feel blessed to have a SS like I do!! Prayers for you all
