Damn this incredible woman.

No wonder I have man cards on volume order from the print shop.

I got my usual stak of VD cards for DW.  All year long, I always grab any VD card that reminds me of her, makes me laugh, or reminds me of her and gives me a lump or a sniffle.

Because I missed my usual over the top spoil her for Groundhogs day. A thing we have done for a very long time.  Instead of the usual 4-6 cards, I ended up with 10.  It took me an hour to fill them out, put some snappy comment on the envelope,

We just finished exchanging cards.  She opened the first 9.  I told her which one to open last.

She got me one.

We laughed and flirted through her first 9 cards.  Then, I opened the one she got me.  DAMN IT!.  Lumps, leaky eyeballs, and sniffles.  And, another man card up in smoke.

Then she opened #10 that I had for her.  More lumps, leaky eyeballs, and sniffles.  My  fee fee revenge is now complete.... for the day.

We leave for our 9:15PM reservations in about 10mins.  Yes, I did not start on reservations early enough. 

*blush*  

But I did get a table at a top 10 steak house in LV.  One we have been to several times. But... still a good one.

I hope everyone has had or will finish their VD with tons of love, lumps, leaky eyeballs, sniffles, and lots of laughs and hugs.

And anything more interesting to close out the day of fee fees and romance.

Aww as the kids say #relationshipgoals. Glad you had a lovely Valentine's Day, Rags. Many more you you and your wife.

So glad you had a great Valentine's day!  It's great to feel like you are still in love.. even after many many years.

I got flowers to look at on my home desk.. but my DH had to work last night.. but I had to get up at 3:30 am to get to MY job this morning.. so we had done a quick overnight trip last weekend.. so we had the celebration kind of out of the way..!

We don't "do" Valentines but because I had a late physical therapy appt. my Mr went into Wegmans and got me a small plant. He knw I'd had to donate my two poinsettas to the compost pile so he filled the gap on my plant stand. I'm not 100% sure it was his goal as he also got himself a gallon of chocolate milk but which came first the plant or the milk is a nonissue. 

We give each other the same gift for years now. Our season seats to our local minor league baseball team. So from April 2 - September 22 we will be basking in our love and baseball!!

That's great, Rags! How sweet! I agree with AlmostGone that it's relationship goals.

I got a dozen roses like I have every year for 28 years. I might upgrade H back to DH if he keeps it up. He gave me a card that said how our marriage and I are "everything" to him. He did that at Christmas too. It's nice to finally hear that. H is sick as hell so we're not having our dinner until the weekend. Since he's retired he's taken to cooking and does really well with chicken and steak dinners, so I can't wait to see what he has in store on the weekend. It'll be either that or a steakhouse we really like. 

Oh, and in my house, leaky eyeballs is referred to as "allergies." LOL We even do the air quotes when we say our "allergies" are acting up. LOL

one way to get her a giant screaming chicken.  It is nearly 3ft tall and when you squeeze it, it screams for up to 45seconds.

I meant to get it for V day but I was out of commission for a couple of days before V-day and did not make the hour round trip drive to the in the middle of nowhere gas station where we saw them a week+ ago when we did a drive to play in the snow..

She cracked up when she got home from the office yesterday to find a giant John Deere green chicken standing in her home office chair.  I got green on purpose.  It was my FILs favorite color.  I thought the color would add some smiles to the obnoxious giant screaming squeezy chicken that now lives with us.  Which apparently she has now decided to squeeze when she gets home from work.

Rags, I wasn’t going to respond to this post since I feared that it would seem like bragging but, hey, it’s good for our fellow STers to grasp that reciprocal relationships are feasible in subsequent relationships.

Mr. grannyd bought a dozen ‘heart’ balloons and set them up all over the house so that, upon my return from picking up champagne, they were there to greet me. He BBQ’d N.Y. striploin steaks served with baked potatoes (heavy on the butter and sour cream) and asparagus. Afterwards, he did all of the cleanup.

In return, I prepared a hand-made card (my specialty) so corny that Rags, you’d have gone into sugar shock, and a finale that had best remain unspoken. Diablo

  Ladies, the right lingerie, makeup and a toned, slender body does a great deal to keep love alive despite one's age, nome sayin’? Blush
