I hate when that happens

Just got sucked back into an old blog from a year ago. Wrote about half a dozen passionate replies before I realized it was over a year old Beee Only realized when I came across my own comment from a year+ ago.

I hate when that happens! Lol.

But for any new childless stepmoms on here...don't accept being treated "like a roommate" when it comes to splitting expenses and the mortgage. Don't "go half" on expenses / mortgage for a home you have no equity in...but then allow your DH to expect that you treat THEM like family. Cooking, giving rides, caring for kids, etc.

Either you're family (meaning you share in family assets) or you're a roommate (meaning you pay your 1/4 or 1/5 of everything, not 1/2...and you don't provide any care.) They don't get to have it both ways.

Like when you're reading a comment and about to post, and come across one that really resonates with you. It's like "Yeah! Exactly! You tell 'em, girl!"

Then you realize it's you from like a year ago. I've done that lol.

Lol. I did that just the other day and was actually mid-reply when I realized I was replying to myself from 3 years ago. :-/ 

At least that time I caught it before I'd blasted the entire thread with multiple comments.

And then there are the ones that are four years old and STILL FREAKING RELEVANT.
