No more child support

My stepson just turned 18 and we are done paying monthly child support and arrears!  It feels FANTASTIC!

Congratulations! 

I remember that feeling so well. I wish we could pay CS for a year again just so I can go back and relive that feeling of having it stop! 

Just kidding... :)  I actually relive the feeling every time I buy something or pay a bill or put money into retirement without looking at the calendar to see when the next CS payment is due. So freeing!

I'm sure.  At first I thought we had to wait for him to graduate HS, but we have an online account that shows what we owe.  It includes regular monthly payments plus arrears.  It's paid off.

It's an awesome feeling, isn't it? Congratulations.

I don't know if I was more excited about the money staying in our household, or getting the BM out of it.

I remember that feeling well, too! My youngest SS turned 18 in the month of December, but unlike you, we had to keep paying until he graduated high school in May. That will be FIVE years ago this May! These have definitely been some of the best years of our lives! Congratulations!!
