DH texted her and asked her if she needed anything. She said only if we have a guest house where she can live while she gets her life in order.
Mwah ha ha!!! Sure Princess. Doesn't she think we'd have mentioned if we had a guest house? We don't even own our house, we're renting.

If I had a guest house in another state, I wouldn't let my SD live there, much less in my backyard.

Do not own a guest house
Especially do not own a beach house!
If you must get away just pay for a hotel. Get the luxury suite. No taxes, no upkeep, and best of all no pesky relatives or skids freeloading all the time.

Do not have an empty basement
Don't have a guest room
If you must have a pull out couch or futon make sure it's lumpy and uncomfortable
If you have a lumpy pull out
If you have a lumpy pull out they will ask you to sleep on it so they can have your bed.
