OT- Honeymoon we never had

Since DH and I never got our real wedding- I mean what we had was great but we planned it all in 4 days and I ordered a dress from Amazon so that it would get there in time. My whole family missed it. But we had all our kids there (BM refused to let SS come to our wedding for those that didn't remember/were unaware). It worked. It was CHEAP! Like less than $200 and we were done! 

Well, since our wedding was combined with graduation and SS18 moving across the country to live with us... we never got a honeymoon. We spent our wedding night in MIL's guest room with 4 kids outside our door in the living room. 

I want a vacation dammit! I want just me and DH and drinks with umbrellas and white sand beaches! I sent DH a link for a cruise I want to take (I love cruises!). I just hope he says yes. I need this. It would be over our 1st anniversary so, perfect in my mind. 

Cross you fingers for me! Since we decided to stop the fight with his ex and just leave it all be with SS we can afford it. I just need the yes!

I really hope you two are able to get away.  I know how it feels to want/NEED a few days of just relaxing and enjoying each other without anyone around and the importance of that is huge.  Let us know! Smile

justmakingthebest! I understand COMPLETELY! Rather than deal with Psycho trying to cause issues, and making people pay to travel with the current finances we opted for just us in a court house and no honeymoon. It worked, I'm glad I'm married to him. But I DEFINITLEY understand the need for some time away! We haven't gotten ours yet either... We keep syaing we'll do something, but time just keeps passing and no trips, no "delayed ceremony" (Vow renewal. lol), no celebration in two spots to include our fmaily. So now just below 2 years in, idk if it'll happen.

So I get it! Sometimes you just want something that's just for you and DH and gives you some time to breathe without all the chaos!!! My fingers are crossed that you get your trips!!!

I really hope you can make it!

On a side note, a friend of mine was on the Mayan Riviera last week and it was so full of algae that it was impossible to swim in the ocean. So I would avoid Mexico's East coast right now if I were you.

That is crazy!! I am thinking Bermuda! It is one of the few that leaves from the east coast that I haven't gone on yet!

If I were you, I would find out if the ocean is «swimable», possibly from a travel agent. My friend didn't find out about the algae until he got there!
