So DH gets a phone call from SD. He talks to her like he is talking to a lover. He calls her by the same exact pet name he calls me. I pointed that out to him and he got mad at me. I am so totally grossed out. If he does that in front of other people I am sure they think he is talking to his wife. I have two sons I would never talk to them like that or call them same name I call DH. Now every time he calls me that I will cringe. SD is 33 years old and married with a kid. The only person who should be talking to her like that is her husband! So gross!! I have not been around him when he talks to her for at least 2 years. So gross!!

I will never understand this. Yet IMO people are less grossed out by this compared to a mom speaking in a lovers voice to their son. The double standard of this sickness. Talk about the blurred lines of what is a parent/(adult) child appropriate relationship.

Same here - he answers texts to them so fast (I see it!) and he takes so long to text me back. Same thing - he calls them the same pet name. yuk! He loves to be surrounded by his mini-lovers. They all love him sooo much and he loves them sooooo much.

When I unintentionally
When I unintentionally encountered the X yesterday I said very little but did say good-bye as I left the house. I said it in the sickly and so patently false way he and his kids say, 'byeee love yoooo byeeee,' don't know if he heard it or registered it but it felt very good saying it and I wondered why I'd never done it before...
Just to add- no sign of XOSD in his life, maybe he's wondering why he threw away a woman like me for someone who gives no shit about him...

Nearly a year after she moved out and for months after our divorce my XW used to call me whining and crying about some crap that she needed my advice on since "you are my best friend and know me better than anyone else". I would just put her on speaker and throw out an occassional "yes, wow, uh-huh" often while entertaining a new short term GF.
