7 YO not doing his homework. Who's fault is it?
Not the 7 year olds. This is the 3rd day my SO has gotten a call from school about his son not paying attention in class, not behaving, talking when he shouldn't be and now not doing homework. He had NO school yesterday so he had 2 nights to do this homework, is it his fault NO! he is 7 his mother the CP should be the one making sure the homework is done, not to mention HW assignment are suppose to be signed. There is no excuse, his HW for the week is on the schools website, all she needs to do is LOOK. Ok if my 15yo didn't do his homework I would blame him. He is 15 and should be responsible for his school work and he is, BECAUSE I taught him how to be, I always checked his homework, checked on line or his HW pad to see what was due, it is called being a Mother. I do not check now, but if it was to become a problem you can bet your sweet ass I would start again. SO calls me to tell me and I wanted to say not my kid not my problem, but I gave my opinions. This child has no respect for his Mother, Father are any adult in his family, so why would a teacher be any exception. She needs to be grounded!! Not talked to talking has gotten NO where. As far as the homework BM needs to get off the FB, Pintrist,Tumblr nd whatever other computer shit she does and go on her kids school website and find out what his damn assignments are! BE A F*&KING MOTHER.
A part of finds this amusing because A) My kids have yet to have problems in school and they are 15 and 11. They no better, they know there will be fall out if there is. THis is her karma, for all the shitty things she has done ans said about SO and I it is coming back to her via her kids LMAO. To that I sa go on with your badself MOTY you are doing a great job!!!

Yes - its parents plain and
Yes - its parents plain and simple. I made this a big deal in this house for the first year, now I say nothing. I have 2 kids, DH has 2 kids - his are here 50% of the time, mine are here 80% of the time.
Rule #1 - you come home, you do homework - THEN you play
Applies only to my kids. Which they follow each and everyday. It drove me nuts watching BD10 do homework while SD10 jumped on the trampoline and DH saying nothing.
Today, SS7 fights tooth and nail to not do his homework, SD12 does the bare minimum always, BD12, BD8 do their homework immediately after school, only snack can come first.
What can you do when you only
What can you do when you only see them EOW!! He has had talks with him, but he is not there. It is her job to make sure these things get done!
We keep a log of all
We keep a log of all incidents we are aware of as well as all favors, changes in visiting ect. Full custody beside it being a never ending battle and expensive, I am nit sure I want that!! I would support SO if it came to, but is not something I want to encourage. I know this may sound selfish, but my kids are 15 and 11 and I have a lot of freedom and perks of having older kids. I am not sure I am ready to give up my freedom to raise someone else's kids. IF and it is a big IF we ever actually won FC I don't see us every getting a break, BM would more then likely still look for every reason for weekends off, or bring them back early. She can barely be a mother now.
