One Heck of a Weekend

Never thought I'd be so conflicted as to whether I wanted the weekend to end or not...Friday night was fine. Just hung around the house with DH.
Saturday we went and joined the search effort for two missing little girls, Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins. I hate to say it, but there is nothing to go on for those two girls, someone had to have taken them. I have to say seeing all the people out there looking for them was an amazing sight. It was a hot and long day. They called off the search about 6PM, but DH and I continued on our own. At 8, we went to the candlelight vigil. A shower and my bed never felt so awesome.
Sunday, we had HER, so I had to make the decision between going out for the search or staying home to protect my little ones. I stayed home and hid in the bedroom with them. I kind of felt bad, like I should've been out searching again, but I had to keep my little ones safe.
Anyway, The Demon Dwarf/TDD (SD7) was even more bratty than usual once she found out that even when she comes to "Daddy's House" all her stuff is gone. Oy did DH get a seemingly never ending lecture from her on how bad a father he was, how much of a b!tch I am, how she is going to 'make bad things happen to stuff', etc. So she got to sit in her room for half the afternoon! Nothing like sending a kid to their room where there is nothing but a couple EDUCATIONAL books, a bed, and a dresser. (We ditched the lamp after a fairy-god-angel on here shared their lamp horror story). With her attitude/temper/possession, best not to take chances. She sat in her room and screamed at the top of her lungs for about an hour, about 1/2 way through she took up either stomping or beating the floor. DH asked her to stop or she'd win another hour in her room. In total she spent 5 of her 8 hours with us in her room throwing fits.
I am so tired and wore out I just want to sleep forever, lol. Wish they had nap time at work...

Wow... That was one heck of a weekend. I hope you have a little peace tonight and that those children are found.
