Easter baskets for everyone.....but you!

I've been disengaging for about a month now - and WOW - what a weight lifted off my shoulders. I feel so much more intune to myself and can focus on my job and my son. But I do have to share my Easter weekend just to make sure that I'm on the right track.

Of course - as the "mom" I do the Easter basket thing. This year there was one on the table for my son, my husband, and I even made one up for myself. But no where on the table was there one for SD18.... Why.... Why should I have made one for her? If her dad was so concerned about it he would have done it himself. He never even asked me why there wasn't one for her....so guess he really didn't care too much. I've always been the one to pick out gifts for both kids - Birthdays, Valentines, Easter, Christmas - and wrap them - DH has never taken on that task. So for SD18 birthday I was never thanked for any gift and never thanked for any gift for Christmas. No need to stress about it - just don't do it - she obviously doesn't appreciate it, so no need to put forth the effort.

To add to my madness - I went to wash my face last night only to find not one single wash cloth in the bathroom and 1 towel left in the cabnit. I've have told SD several times that she is not to leave fewer than 3 towels in the cabnit and not to use all the wash cloths without washing the dirty ones and putting them away. I've told my husband the same thing - he never thought it was a big deal. I found all the dirty towels and wash cloths down in the laundry room just screaming "Wash ME because no one else will" - this of course after she spent all day Saturday doing her laundry and sitting on her butt doing nothing. So, I bagged all of them up in a trash bag and off they went. I figured that if SD can't have any curtosy for others in the house who need to shower, than I guess there is no need for towels or wash cloths. We'll see what my husband says when he goes to use a towel and there isn't any. (Of course I kept a few of the good ones out and put them in my little secret stash).

Ahhhh.... Being evil can be so relaxing. Twitter & FB are plastered right now about how much of a B*@#ch I am. Might as well live up to the stories that are told about me behind my back.

Ha! I like the comment that you might as well live up to the stories that are told about you. It's sooooo true.

When my cousin lived with me he would take the bowls and forks to work and they never returned so one day they all dissappeared and i told him they have cheap stuff at the dollar store if he wanted cereal.

My mom did the same thing to my younger siblings - she was tired of them throwing their dirty laundry all over the house. So when they came home from school one day it had all been thrown on the roof of the garage for everyone to see. She never had a problem again with dirty clothes everywhere.
