Call Out the Coast Guard!!

To rescue Brainiac (SS15) and Prince Hygiene (SS9)!!! They went canoeing on their Spring Break (a tip of the hat to VD, SD13, who made all Fs on her recent report card).

Seems that Brainiac and PH tipped the canoe over in the inland lagoon so they called out the rescue squad and had to wait for a whole hour!!! That's a VERY long time to go without Doritos in hand, but I digress.

Now mind you GG's kids are supposedly "athletic" so I'm not sure why a six foot tall young man and a five foot two inch tall nine year old couldn't flip back the canoe and climb inside.

VD and the Behemoth were in a different canoe (no sign of stepdad Snuffleupagus or the two foster/adopted kids) and managed to call the rescue squad for the boys in peril on their iphone.

OH the HUMANITY!!

On an inland lagoon? Couldn't be that big, could it? Floating around for a whole hour, um, if they're that athletic (and if they couldn't tip the canoe back over and get back in while treading water) they could have swam/pulled the canoe to shore/shallow water to get back in it, couldn't they?

Yes they could have! GG always brags about the fact that they are "strong swimmers"

Well you know the frontal lobes of their brains aren't fully developed until they are 25. That's what I keep telling myself..and I have six teenagers to deal with.
