DH and I have a friend, well he was originally DHs friend but he's become mine too. His is a tragic story. His exwife murdered his son, I think he was 6. She gave him and his SS sleeping meds and was going to kill herself too but chickened out.the SS, I think 13, survived, but it killed his kid. I didn't know him prior, but I can tell he's a broken man. he had a good landscape business that he's all but let go, and he constantly goes out of the country to just schmooze around with his family. He met a girl in another state January before he left the country and seems to have fallen hard. shes nearly 40, never married, no kids which is good cause he refuses to be a stepdad again. she seems very successful, has a good job, her own money so he says. im just worried that theyre moving too fast and im afraid he'll get hurt. i just dont trust her motives, i dunno why. shes very pretty and seems to have it goin on. hes not the best looking and doesnt have much to offer, so im suspicious as to why she chased him down to talk to him. maybe im just jealous. im not attracted to him, but i dont want him to move away
