Boy Who Cried Wolf

habsle's picture

What does one do when one lives with a wolf crier? He complains in the morning that he no one has gotten his food for him. (He's 9) When I have gotten his food for him, he's fused about the cereal being soggy or shit like that. When he goes to bed, he starts coughing. I know that he has fake coughed before so how do I know if it's real? How do I know if anything he does is real? I've been blamed numerous times for not believing in the child. Not having faith in the child. Not trusting the child. (Which is why he doesn't believe, have faith, or trust in me so I'm told) When there's so many lies being made, how does one know when it's not a lie?

When my SD does that, I treat her like she's probably going to die any minute. I have her lie down in her room with all the lights off. No tv. No toys. Just clean sheets and rest. I give her medicine (which is actually water in a dropper with a drop of food coloring) and at mealtime, I give her chicken broth in a bowl with a few saltine crackers and a glass of water. No juice. No milk. No sweets. No treats. And NO FUN. And the rest of us go about life as if she weren't there.

If she were actually sick, of course I'd be kind to her, but she does this at her mother's house for attention, and she does it here, too, to try to get special treatment. Which, ironically, she would probably get tons of if she were in any way a redeeming human being to spend time around instead of a total brat the entire time she's here.

My SS came home boo-hooing about such a bad headache. Well then you should go to bed, brush your teeth. It was a miracle cure as he came out an said its going away and now he's stuck up daddy's ass. Even telling our dog "he's my daddy, keep your paws off"
