Thanks!
LOL I think I've got it! Thak you for reassuring me that wanting to crawl into a hole with a Xanax and a bottle of wine is a perfectly normal reaction to having two ungtrateful little people take over my house, life, car, and relationship. LOL I will post more of my "story" later (after work). Thanks again!
Welcome!!!
Welcome
You are in a safe place. Vent away!
"I know God has a wonderful plan for me, I just wish He would tell me what it is"
Wonderful plan
I liked this quote. Thanks! I know there's a reason and a plan for me. I guess I'm just too much of a control freak to let the plan unfold itself. LOL
You are a SParent. You proved your insanity when you
married someone with children. But, that's OK. We are all (with a few exceptions) SParents here and wrote off our grasp on sanity long ago.
That said, SParenting can be an incredible and rewarding experience, between the bouts of moronic crap from the SKids/ XW/XHs/BMs/BDs/Sperm and Womb GrandParents/Family Law Court Morons/etc....
The ride is certainly exciting. But ...... I prefer the ups, downs and thrills of the roller coaster to the boring predictability of the merry-go-round myself.
So welcome, strap in, hang on, and enjoy the ride.
And ...... I hope you find ST to be a good place to vent, contribute and get some good advice.
It is a safe place to vent your blended family frustrations except during the infrequent attacks by the vitrioTrolls.
Best regards,
Success is rarely final. Failure is rarely fatal. It is character, courage and consistency of effort that count. Vince Lombardi (with some minor Rags modifications) To each according to their performance, screw Karl Marx. (Rags)
Merry go round
I guess deciding to SParent falls in to that "you knew the job was dangerous when you took it" category. It all just happened so fast. I know the overall experience will be rewarding (let's see, only 11 years before the youngest turns 18)but the past six months (the first six months) have been more of tilt-a-whirl than your average merry go round. :)After reading some of the blogs, I realize things could be ALOT worse! My soon to be DH is so supportive and encourages me to vent, take time out for me, and partake in the occasional retail therapy... LOL
I do think ST will be agreat avenue for vetning, gathering info and supporting others. I am excited by the prospect of this journey being made a little easier by way of this site.
Thank you, Rags, for your perspective.
