I've already offered to quit as soon as he gets another job that will support us in the style we're used to - not gonna happen. He's bitching at me about "his" money in our savings account - he got a settlement from work. I keep reminding him that I had quite a chunk of change in the bank too before we got together. Also reminded him that he refused to pay any of our expenses when he first moved in up to a couple of months after we were married - I footed the bill for everything including wedding, reception, right down to the new clothes we both purchased for our trip.

I told him to take the freakin money out of savings and do whatever he wanted with it but to keep in mind, if he continued to live with me, I expected 1/2 of EVERY expense to be paid on the first of the month, EVERY month, including his health insurance which is taken out of my paycheck twice a month. The only expenses I would be solely responsible for were my dogs and my SUV. He would have sole responsibility of paying his car payment, which is half the payment of my SUV. When I started adding up the monthly expenses and what he would have to fork over, he started getting pissed; imagine that!

According to him, I'm 'controlling' - maybe if he had been a little more assertive when it came to taking care of things and making his brats mind instead of giving in to their every whim, he might know how to manage money.
