Below is an e-mail that I got from my wife in response to an e-mail I sent to her yesterday. Not neccessarily a hugely on topic communication but it does have elements of marriage, daily life and dealing with our son (my SS).

It made me smile.

Wow I cannot believe how expensive Verizon is overseas. I am glad you
are meeting nice people and that the service is good. Don't forget to
tip!

I wore my puzzle ring today for the first time in a long time. It made
me smile and remember our trip to the jewelry store in Al Kobar. Very
interesting life babe! I have to say it has not been boring.

(The kid) is being a bum so I will have to kick his butt when I get home. He
has taken to showering every day so that is an improvement.

Oh the bird was a bad bird yesterday. He flew over to (The kid's) coffee
table and started attacking things and throwing them onto the floor.
When (The kid) figured out he wasn't where he should be and came downstairs
(The bird) knew he was in trouble. He jumped on the arm of the sofa and then
started running along the back trying to hide behind the cushions. What
a punk!

We have to remember to not give him food in the little glass bowls
anymore. He likes to throw them on the floor and we have tile now so it
would make a big mess.

It didn't take long for all the marketing people to get a hold of our
new address. It seems like all we get is junk mail. Luckily the phone
calls have not started yet ("knock on wood").

Yes, it will be a very good day when you get home. It is too quiet
without you! And my bed is cold!!!
