Enjoyin snowday w/DH when he gets a call & runs to the car to drive to the next state

My day started off very nice...very happy to spend the day at home with DH-snowday! We were right in the middle of enjoyin ourselves when he actually takes a phone call-from a friend & then rushes to get dressed to drive to the next state over-150 miles to help out his friend! He apologized about 6 times & then kissed me & left. This is the first time he has ever done this to me in all the years we have been together. I just need some help in figuring out the best way to handle this...so that its the very last time this ever happens again!!

Well it depends on why his friend needed help. If it was a true emergency then good for him for being a good friend if it wasn't a real emergency then just explain to him how you feel about him just up and leaving.

DH did some work for this friend around Thanksgiving & now apparently the work he did is not working/ malfunctioning. The friend told him that it was an emergency & had to be fixed immediately.

Well if DH did the work for said friend and it started to get messed up at least he is showing responsibility by trying to fix it.
I know it was weird and may have caught you off guard but I am sure he felt an obligation to go and help since he was the one who did it in the first place.
