Free for 8 months!!

So SS’s vacation is over with us!! YAY!!! He won't be back for 8 months! It was not too bad. He did manipulate DH a lot during the visit, but I just stayed out of it. I will have to intervene if he does do one certain thing again, but this time, I just let him do whatever he wanted. Lol

Now all of the FB family pictures started. LOL. SS has ALWAYS made DH and BM take pictures with him like they are some type of family. And his trip to the airport was no different.

Almost free for 8 months.

Tomorrow, SS will be on way to airport, to deploy to an area that is not in a danger area. (I have lots to blog about him and his visit! Will be later this week)

According to face book, he and his mother are acting like he is heading to a death sentence. I am sure DH will jump on that bandwagon as soon as he gets to airport to join in all of the drama that is sure to come.

Ready for him to deploy!!

Another day or two under my belt. It all just so annoying.

So SS is sitting in the living room watching tv. I am about 10 feet from him in the kitchen. BM calls him and he talks to her for about 10 minutes. I am not really paying attention until I hear his tone change and I hear him say … “I can’t talk about that right now” Then he gets up and goes to the bedroom for about 10 minutes.

WTH?

One more day down.

Only one more week to go!! Ugh. After listening to my SS again last night talk about all the trouble he causes in the military, I had enough. (I usually just grin and say nothing). Yes…I should have kept my mouth shut.

I said to SS….
ME: I am surprised you are not getting reprimanded more due to your attitude and issues.
DH: Yea, it is a bad attitude, but you come by it honestly, I used to do the same thing when I was a marine. But you still should not do it.

I need a good come back.

I need a good comeback. I am so sick of SS treating people like they are second class because they are not in the military. I am grateful to the military, but boy, you are not better than me due to the fact that they went into that job.

This following is a normal convo with SS…
SS: Willow..I’m going to go ahead and make my plate.
ME: How about wait until everyone gets here?
SS: I should not have to wait for everyone, I should go first since I am in the service and fighting for everyone’s rights!
ME: Roll my eyes and gag.

I hate the fact that if SS was not DH’s kid…I would never be around him because of what type of person he is. And I know that SS is DH’s kid, but it still amazes me that DH and BM think this kid is the cream of the crop of humans. Weird.

So last night was SS first night home on leave from the military. And yes, it was all about SS and I completely understand and expect that. But some of the crap that spews out of that boy’s mouth is CRAZY.

MY SON IS HOME FOR A BIT!! I AM SUCH A PROUD MILITARY MOMA!!! Ss name …IS THE BEST PART OF MY LIFE. FOREVER AND ALWAYS!! SO PROUD OF YOU!! LOVE YOU BABY!!!! PS…YOU LOOK SO HANDSOME IN YOUR UNIFORM!!

I will NEVER understand this. SS is probably sitting right beside her when she wrote this. I see a lot of people do this too on FB. Sorry, but it is weird.

I knew it was going to happen. Why does DH still get surprised at this kind of crap.

Ok…SS is coming for a visit for two weeks. One week with BM one week with us. (Military leave). Trying to figure out times, dates and destinations have been a nightmare because SS never tells the same story twice.
Anywhoo…At the last minute, SS told DH to pick him up at airport and take him to his moms. DH was supposed to pick SS up at airport last night and take him to BM’s. Two hours away. DH was excited to see the boy and was looking forward to the 2 hour trip with his son.
