So things have been very interesting to say the least the last couple of months. After SO told SD21 that it wasn’t a good time for her come and stay over for a few nights, she spat the dummy, forwarded the message he had sent her to her siblings and a week later they came over for dinner she was sulky and petulant. SO asked what was wrong and after much coaxing said she was in a bad way; she had to get an extension on an assignment due to anxiety, was heavily medicated on anxiety meds and the other day she “felt like driving into a tree”.

SO and I attended couple counselling two weeks ago. It went well and I was happy that all of my thoughts and feelings were validated by the counsellor as I had previously been made to feel like I was unreasonable and even bordering on a little bit crazy.

So pleased with SO right now. We went to a family gathering last night at my SILs house attended by MIL, SD20, SD15 and SS17, 2xSILs and partners. I left my DDs at home as I am not in the mood to blend right now. First of all everyone had to wait with dinner because the skids were late. SD20 "thought it was at a different time" - something SD15 confirmed was just a lie because she knew damn well what time we were all meant to gather. Just another selfish game she plays.
