My CS case is over in 30 days!

I got a call from my attorney that the magistrate decided that my x had to pay CS from his salary from 2007 and not on his current income which is barely 20 hours a week. He chooses to work part time to watch his new baby. His attorney already brought up about my x having another baby in Oct and that makes my CS lower. Right now I still don't what the amount will be.

I didn't have any CS to begin with we split the kids 50/50 then both the kids ended up with me. He got an attorney and paid over $200 an hour and then complains how he didn't have any money.

We have 30 days to hammer out the details about who is picking up the kids etc.

His new wife told me that I needed to get the financials straightened out before we were divorced....well...I did AFTER!

of back CS as a penalty for actively avoiding delivery of the court summons for a CS modification. In the county of Jurisdiction in my SS's Custody/Visitation/Support case retro CS can only be recouped at a max of $50.00 per month. Nearly two years of back CS in your case will likely take several years for the NCP to pay it all back along with staying current with whatever the new CS level is set at.

Good for your Judge for holding him accountable for abdicating his responsibilities to support his older children.

always provide a view from the other side! As far as I've ever seen, you are right on que with everything you've said. I really respect you for understanding, and realizing a fathers responsibilities. Kudos to you.
