Glad today is over....had a four way meeting with attornies and the ex

At least the meeting didn't talk too long. It was only a little over 1 hr. I guess the ex doesn't want to pay too much out of his pocket.

He was so nervous and basically said about 10 times the same thing....I love my kids and would do anything for them. blah blah blah

I have had them since Aug 08 full time and the mention of CS that is when he hires an attorney. I didn't have any stipulation in the original decree that I wasn't allowed to move.

I did have a zinger in there when he mentioned that BS16 needs his infulence. I had BD10 was living with me and BS16 was living with him at the time because my son didn't want to be in trouble for making terrible grades. I reminded him that I offered to get an attorney to change the agreement for him to be the custodial of the school for my son, my parents as well offered to even pay for it and he never did anything. I said in the meeting that I took that as he didn't want him to be there and SS16 started living with me again. I also mentioned that he almost didn't pass the 9th grade while he was under his care and couldn't participate in sports because of that.

He is taking a full class schedule doing a lot better and has been able to participate in 2 sports and will be eligible in the fall for football. He actually stated more than a few times that he wants to do what is best for them and admitted that they are doing great with me.

His attorney mentioned that they really don't to have a GAL. My attorney said (after my ex had to leave the room because he was getting too emotional) he is a real mental case and has major issues and that no way his attorney would want him to even be near a stand. He also agreed that its about money....we currently have 50/50 split with no CS and now that they are with me and it hasn't been an issue for 7 months now he wants to finally see them more. He had the nerve to say that he was under the understanding that he wasn't allowed to see them during the week. He lives 17 miles away and acts like we live across the country.

I have to let me attorney know what agreement of visitation that I would agree with. He now wants more time during the week. I really don't know what to do. I fear that he won't get the kids to school on time....he only has 1 car and car pools with his wife to work etc.

Anyone have a suggestion??

Why does it have to be an overnight? Why can't he just have them from after school until after dinner or something like that during the week, a day or two? I wouldn't agree to an overnight, at least not until you try out a few hours and see how that goes.
