Dh and hex have a trial date set 6 months from now.

DHs lawyer asked DH to obtain a copy of SDs counselors notes. If counselor is hesitant, sign a release so he can talk to the counselor. DH has joint legal. Lawyer will subpoena the notes as a last resort, as he doesn't want hexs lawyer to know. DH emailed counselor politely asking for notes. He stated he was worried as SD has been self harming, and he feels that he should know a general basis of what goes on.

Counselor responds saying no, it is not in the best interest of SD that DH know what sd discusses, and she wants to maintain confidentiality. Far enough, I respect confidentiality. But know where does DH go from here? Counselor (that hex chose) does not give DH updates on the issues we brought up to her (self harming, hurting others, the need to keep secrets). If lawyer subpoenas the notes, hex will tell sd immediately that DH forced the counselor to tell her secrets. Sd might not trust a new counselor.

Oh, and hex told SD that DH got "fired" from his job, DH was actually surprised hex did that. I told him that I knew it was coming, and he should have been proactive and told SD first. I saw this coming a mile away. No idea why he didn't.

Whatever. The pas will continue no matter which option DH chooses.
