Previous blogs had been about what a terror SD18 was - but since moving out of BMs house, she has done a complete 180.  I enjoy being around her again.  Now, BM is all focused on SD16 who was previously no trouble at all.  She even said she hated the way SD18 was behaving and treating their dad.  Well, SD16 is not talking to SO and hasn't come over in months.  She's supposed to be with us EOWE.  Her "anger" stems from a lousy $150 that he put in a savings acct for her.  She's mad that he won't give her the money.  But - we know its all BM putting her up to it - SHE wants to get her hands on that money.  The acct has been opened since Sept and SD16 was all for it until BM starting telling her she owed her money for her cell phone.  SO explained to her that since she has her little part time job - she can use that to pay her part of the bill.  But she still wants that $150.  He also told her if she wanted to buy something she really wanted or needed, he would pull the money out for her but the only thing she ever says is that she owes "mommy" money.  And that she's old enough & responsible enough to hold on to it herself, etc.  She doesn't seem to get that the money will be gone in 60 seconds flat.

Last night we saw SD18 briefly and she confirmed that SD16 is using her silence towards SO as a punishment.  She feels its the only way he'll listen to her.  SO said, I can't listen to her if she won't talk to me.  Later he told me that he's not chasing her down and will not go thru the same crap he did when SD18 was acting out.  And he surprised me with this - he very much wants all 3 of his kids at our wedding this summer, but if SD16 chooses not to come, he won't beg her or push it.  He'll let it go.  I am so surprised - seems like he's letting go of the guilt he once felt.
