Seasons Are a Changing ...
Living in the desert means super hot summers - okay that one is obvious - dry, chafing, crack your skin winters and also early spring and late fall seasons. We have our own beauty here ... yeah, yeah, green trees and leaves are nice but I love the deep, red sunsets and how the mountains cut through our city into the dusk skyline. I love how there isn't a breath or life but then you see a red yucca or a cactus with a HUGE red flower on it to brighten up the barren landscape. Don't get me wrong, having air conditioning, ice cold lemonade, and cool places to hide are VITAL here but life is just totally different.
So today, to welcome the spring and pending summer, the skids went in the pool. We don't have a heater. The water was 64 degrees. I showed off and did a cannonball into the pit of glass and daggers. The skids followed suit. I don't think I ever swam so fast to bolt out of the pool.
All in all, a good day.
BM called this morning but both boys were distracted, ready to go have fun in the water ... no matter it was ice cold.
