BM at it again with her drama

DH and I began talking about SD22 at dinner last night. He gets to spend a day or two a week with her and fills me in on their day (he goes to auctions every week and SD22 makes extra money by driving cars back to the lot for him). He starts to tell me that BM and SD22 aren't talking, again. Apparently BM has made up with her mini me hag of a child, SD20, so she is being cruel to mine and DH's favorite, SD22. I asked DH what happened and he said that SD22 posted a picture on facebook of herself with her BFF's 3 kids playing together.

TV needs to portray real SM/SD/SK lives

I know everyone remembers the Brady Bunch and step by step and all those other wonderful shows about how two family's can become one happy and loving family with no BM/BD issues. We were all fooled! Until I met DH I had only dated one guy who had kids, my DD's dad. And that wasn't too bad, we didn't live together so I didn't have the real SM role. I just figured kids would be great, I had always wanteda big family so adding two more was perfect. Boy was I wrong.

I am a worry wart!

I am driving my husband crazy but that isn't anything new Blum 3 I worry, a lot, about our children. More so about our oldest children. I have gotten very bad about it recently, I think it has something to do with our 19yr old being pregnant. I am trying not to pry and trying to remember how worn down you can get while growing another human life inside of you but I worry when we don't hear from her for two weeks.

Greatful for my Bonus family!

I joined this site a few days ago and am realizing, more so, how very blessed I am in life. So many people here have so many problems with blended families. I was so blessed to be raised in one so I guess it made becoming a step mother easier for me than some, I can relate to some of what my SD's were going through. I also had the blessing of two great SD's who didn't have a mother involved until six months after I came into the picture.

Excited about a baby!

I am so excited to be a first time grandmother! I am only 32, so I am very young, but I accept the badge with honor! I love children, all children, and I really love babies. Sometimes I wonder if things may have been less difficult for us had my DH and I gotten together when my SD's were babies. Of course it would have but that was not meant to be, I was only 11 at the time!
