DH caught BM going through our mailbox!
Everyone has had a bill not arrive now and again the post office isn't perfect I however have a different problem... On Friday DH came home early and BM was sitting on our front steps waiting for skids to get off the school bus.DH was curious why BM was at our house because she usually picks up skids from school. DH decided to go outside and talk to BM.On his way down the stairs DH heard the creaking of our mailbox and saw the shadow of someone opening it in the stained glass window. As he got closer the lid was quickly shut and the person fled. Obviously it was BM. DH was annoyed and I am pissed. DH confronted BM about looking through our mail and BM denied it!!BM was sitting in front of our house at that time in her car. When DH asked well if you didnt do it who did she said I dont know :jawdrop:
I think I am gonna go buy a locking mailbox when I get out of work today! This is ridiculous I wondered why last month we didnt get our electric or phone bill... BM is a thief!

Camera on your porch aimed at your mailbox. That is a Federal Offense. I would snag her ass. How dare she!

They have inexpensive security cameras...point one at your mailbox. This is a federal offense and she could be prosecuted for it!

He should have called the cops on her right then. She'd go to jail for that--it's a federal CRIME.

DH said he wanted to but in the past BM has accused him of things that were not true and everyone believed her so DH is a bit hesitant about informing police.BM is quite talented at making herself the victim even if she is the attacker.

Does she realize this is a FEDERAL offense? I would call either the police or the post office and find out what you can do about it.
I beflieve BM just commited a federal mail related crime.
Call the police and have her arrested.

We have all our important mail sent to a PO Box because of the same reason. A locking mailbox at your house would work too.
UPDATE
I went to the hardware store yesterday and bought a locking mailbox..Hopefully this will deter any more snooping until we can afford to install a security camera.
