This is my first blog but I have been here on step since 2010. Steptalk should win some kinda award it saved me from kicking a few asses and catching a charge and my sanity. Thanks Steptalk

Things have improved since the early days. I no longer have the vivid fantasies or hallucinations that encompassed me when I first ventured into step-parenthood. First let me admit I have learned to loathe my skid from a distance I tell people first upon meeting them..Yeah, that's not my kid..I'm not her mom..or my best one, I have no parts in the upbringing, upkeep or outcome of this one. My youngest skid has not even started kindergarten but she rolls eyes, sighs, shuns, does the daddy barrier thing and hisses when I come into range. But its all good!! I put on my disengage goggles and gear and I am ready for anything. I could have written some of the things you ladies post easy .. I have the all encompassing screwed up situation the meddling, busybody, fire breathing MIL, the pyscho shiny vag BM, the mini-wife princess who is the spawn of the devil and finally last but certainly not least the Disney Dad who melts at the sight of his precious..innocent..halo wearing snot nose walking germ pool, know it all, Mommy says brat. My DD tells me all the time how I'm so lucky and blessed to end up with all this when I could be just a plain old hag.. but instead I am Stephag.

Its like a superhero I fight skids meth-mouth, ringworms, rotavirus's, and baby yeast :jawdrop: by insisting the kid get a bath, brush its teeth ,wash her hands and Lysol and Bleach dousing when necessary (jk about the bleach lol) :O all while slaying my MIL who is the fire breathing dragon killing off humanity with her nastyassed casseroles and need to micro manage everyone's life and leaping over that Dyson manufactured giant Vag BM trying to suck up Earth and child support, subsidized housing, food stamps and every other public benefit available . (too bad DD balls got sucked up ) oh and Oh Yaay me!! I have adult skids as well and they keep things nice and crispy if I'm tired of the view into why they became the sniveling, can't deal with life brats they are preview I can always tune into what I have to look forward to with the rotten princess. Life is so beautiful and by golly wow Step talk saved me
