Oh he is smart as a little whip. It has never been about if he is understanding the material, he flies through it! The problem was him acting up in class and getting distracted and not finishing classwork and not doing homework all the while his grades plummetted. Yet BM did not seem to notice or care. When SS was placed with us he went to the school and had a conference with SS teacher and SS and they developed an action plan that is working beautifully. Communication with the schools are very important to the success of any child. BM just lacks the understanding that she needs to be involved and participate in SS education.
