What do you do to save time?
I bake on Saturday since homemade is cheaper than purchased snacks. Plus I make a meal or two for later in the week so we can just heat and eat. Something easy like goulash, sloppy joes, taco meat, simple hotdish, using whatever I have on hand.
Laundry is a every other day thing with a family of 5. Cleaning is done when I have time usually I do the floors on Monday while the recycle bins are on the curb for pick up so they are out of my kitchen. I use alot of cleaning wipes because its quick and easy.
What does everyone else do? I am always looking for more ideas to save time.

A little laundry every day.
Otherwise, it piles up and becomes overwhelming. Whatever day I do the grocery shopping, I get lots of raw veggies - broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, cukes, radishes, etc. - and I clean them up and put them in a big Tupperware container so that we can just reach in and grab a quick snack all week long. I use my crock pot a lot and we also use the grill regularly. I also use the handiwipes. I keep the Clorox ones in all three bathrooms so that I can just grab them and wipe things down quickly. Quickest way to get things done is to farm out chores. Instead of me spending an hour vacuuming, dusting and picking up, I get my daughter and hubby to help pick up while my son vacuums, then I just have to dust. It all gets done quicker when we all chip in. When I make things like casseroles or chili, I make extra to freeze into single serving, microwaveable containers for lunches. We've also discovered Freshetta thin crust frozen pizzas. We get the five-cheese version and then pile on fresh veggies and some extra mozzarella. Cheaper, quicker and definitely healthier than ordering out.

Scratch is good...
I agree smurfy...I make as much as I can from scratch too. It's cheaper, better for you and usually tastes better, too.
My DH loves soup so I cook up a big batch once a week, freeze half and leave the other half in the fridge. The kids like pancakes and waffles, so I make up a BIG batch at a time and put them in a ziplock in the fridge...then they can help themselves. Homemade cookies are good too...you can make lots and freeze some. They thaw out in no time and you can limit how many are available at a time. My bunch will eat 4 dozen in a day if you let them.
I also give the shower a good cleanin'...while I'm still in there taking a shower!! It gets cleaner and it saves my back from trying to lean over the edge of the tub and around the doors.
