I wonder if there's anyone here that was here when I was an active poster?

If so, I just wanted to check in on my friends and update you on my situation.

We still have custody of SD21's children. We will be moving to adopt sometime this month. She's pretty much completely checked out of the picture, which is FINE with us! She stopped visitation sometime around Thanksgiving and then requested to re-start the visitations a few wks later. (we are using a third party mediating location) She requested a meeting of the center, social worker, & us to put her visits back in place. We all showed up, she didn't. No shocker there. I didn't expect her to. When she found out that I was coming, she likely decided not to show b/c I don't allow her to manipulate people in my presence and she knows this. So, she didn't show. No visitations have occurred since, nor will they. She has to go back to court to try to reinstate them. Stupid girl. Her excuse for dropping the visitations was b/c she had gotten a part time SEASONAL job in addition to her other part time job. She chose a part time SEASONAL job over her visitation with her children. What a fabulous mother! She didn't even bother to send her kids a Christmas card or bring gifts or anything. LOSER.

On a different note, I fell the Sunday before Christmas and broke my foot so badly that I have screws in my foot. I can't walk, so my MIL has been taking the baby at night b/c I can't get up with him. NOw, when school goes back, she will have to care for him during the day b/c I wont have anybody to help me. She's been a complete blessing to me through all this. Who would have EVER thought I would refer to my MIL as a "blessing"????? hahahah we've never gotten along, but somehow when we got custody of her great-grandchildren, she turned into Glenda the good witch. I'm happy about that. SHe's even been interacting w/our older boys!!!
