Someone please tell me if I’m trippin!
Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Still pretty new to this but I am trying to just hop on here anytime I feel I need some feedback. Today's topic: Toothfairy.... for an 11 year old!! So my soon to be SD11 (almost 12, birthday in June) received $20 from my soon to be husband this morning because she lost a tooth! She knows there's no toothfairy and let me say it again.. she's almost 12!! I think this is crazy!! Please let me know if I'm wrong because I'm highly confused right now. Not to mention our DD4 is now sad because her teeth haven't fell out yet, but I told her don't worry, at the rate Daddy is going, you're gonna be rich when they do start to fall out!!! LOL

$20?! Dear god! 50 years
$20?! Dear god! 50 years ago, we got a dime. I'm all for upping the money for inflation, but not for an 11-year-old. My SS20 was still losing teeth at 14. This could go on forever.
oh this makes me want to BARF
oh this makes me want to BARF. 11 is middle school....and I'm sorry but there is no more tooth fairy is mother effing middle school. This strikes such a nerve with me b/c I also have an almost 12 year old SD in middle school and it is the SAME WAY.
I am not kidding you that this past Christmas......DH and MIL were still making sure she believed in Santa. WTF WTF WTF?? Major mental problems in that family....is all I can say.
What is with all of these idiots trying to keep their daughters paused at 5 years old....when they are 12 or older??
No big deal in my book, kids
No big deal in my book, kids only have so many teeth to loose, it's not like it can go on forever. Your husband is happy as he gets to spoil his kid and sd is happy because $20 is a lot to a 11year old. And your dd4 is excited about loosing her teeth, which is better than being freaked out by it. Who cares if SD knows it is all made up and it is really from dad, it can be fun to be in on the "game" of the tooth fairy and santa etc, especially if there are younger siblings involved.
No wonder the kid still
No wonder the kid still pretending to believe in the tooth fairy if I got 20 dollars a tooth. I'd be dragging that on as long as I could too.
