I can milk this!

Not sure if I have shared on our home and furniture situation  lately.  We bought a new home at the end of June.  When we went overseas in 2011 we got rid of everything except some clothing and some small kitchen stuff.  We owned no furniture so when we bought the house it was pretty much empty.  We bought two beds. Just the beds. No furniture (headboards, nights stands, etc...) and a couple of days later we bought some patio furniture that we put in our living room then 4 bar stools for our kitchen island so we would have a place to eat.

My bride is a shopper and is into fashion and decor.  When I first got out of the hospital after breaking my leg she got frustrated one evening and ordered night stands from a link I sent her with a note "I like these.".  Those were delivered on Thursday and my brides face lit up.  So now I have a plan.

I will manage furniture purchases in small doses so I can stretch out her decor adventure and maximize the shopping smiles I get to see on her face.

Yep, this is a good Rags plan I think.

I'm the man!

Now if she will only get home from the office.  Only 2 more days of 15+ hour days in her extension and business tax season.  Then I get my bride back in the evenings.  Being a bachelor with a broken leg makes for very long evenings and weekends.

She should have a planning  in place of what you need to buy.  What you want in each room.  And try to get deals on it.  After Christmas , No body is buying furniture.  So that the best time for deals if you can hold out until then .  I hope the leg is coming along

That is our plan.  We may do an NC furniture factories tour.  Apparently 30%+ discounts are common on NC furniture trips.

We are not in a hurry.  We need living room, dining room, x2 bedrooms (Headboards, footboards, one set of night stands, dressers), and furniture for a study including a Queen size Murphy bed.

The leg is actually doing great.   There is no pain so I have to be careful not to put weight on it.  I have another 9 days until my 6wk follow up with the Ortho Surgeon.  He has me on 6-12wks of no weight on it. Hopefully he will release me for weight bearing PT next week.  Cross my fingers.

Thanks for the healing wishes.
