In approximately 8.5 hrs, I will be taking the MCAT.

And I am shitting my pants right now.

I want this more than I've ever wanted anything in my life.

I have dreamed my whole life of being a doctor, but life got in the way and I gave up on it for a while. FDH has been the most supportive, encouraging man in this regard you could ever imagine, and his support pushed me to start taking the prerequisites I need to get into medical school (my undergrad degree is in the humanities). I love people, I love science, and I love medicine, so I know this is the right path for me.

I'm old as fuck and VERY unconventional compared to most medical students (36, covered in tattoos, curse like a sailor) but I am a 4.0 student, did extremely well on every standardized test I've ever taken (SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT). However, this past semester kicked my ass and I really didn't get the prep time I wanted for the MCAT.

And suddenly, it's tomorrow.

Gulp.
