This could go really good or really bad...
So today SO and I found out that BM is engaged to what was her ex. [This man has left SD's alone in the middle of the night because he was mad that BM was not yet back from the bar, he has beat her, and God knows what else.] Well, now he lives in Kansas and, lo and behold, they seem to get back together RIGHT when she gets kicked out of her house. Coincidence? NOT. She needs someone to support her.
Obviously, she can marry who she wants. That's nobody's business but hers.
How it can go really good: She moves to Kansas by herself and SO can take custody of the kids.
How it can go really bad: She takes kids and moves out of state.
They haven't even bothered to get a CO. I keep asking SO why he hasn't and he claims he just doesn't have the money to go to court. So, as of right now, she can do whatever the hell she wants. That's just as much his fault as it is hers. I think it's just plain dumb. I don't see it costing TONS of money just to get a CO. EOW or something [which is already what we do.] BUT I've never been to court so it's not like I know anything.
Any advice? As much as these kids irritate me sometimes, I really would miss them horribly.

SHE, herself, is broke. Her parents and grandparents, on the other hand, are anything but. THEY will hire a high priced attorney.
Thank you very much for that information!
SO and I both know something has to be done and soon.
