how much does a lawyer usually charge in Ca to lower cs?

Does any one know how long it takes (the process) and how much they charge?

We spent over 12k to fight BM and her thoughts that she deserved CS. She lost...but we still spent 12k. We are in GA and it is cheaper here. Good luck.

Not sure where you are in GA, but we are close to Atlanta and it is pretty standard. Every damn email was 35 dollars. Phone call 50. 5k was the retainer and we went through that really quick. BM hasn't signed the agreement that they worked out with the mediator three months ago and it keeps adding up. Her lawyer keeps making small changes, we think he is dragging this out to keep BM paying his fees. Well that just adds to ours. We are planning on another 12K to fight for SS12 who wants to live with us now.

We have been told by others that that was a pretty normal amount to fight for custody. We actually gave up early on or it would have been a lot more.
