When did SKids start testing you and your discipline/boundaries??

So-up until this point things between my bf's D and I have been very good. Her and my son fight like cats and dogs but between us it's been good. She's very accepting and loving and respectful.

Oh..yeah I actually saw the BM at a soccer game this Sat for the first time...we just said an akward HI and that was it.

For those of you with DH's- DF's or BF's with a DV or Protection order History

I was reading another blog and just wanted to put this out there for all to see. Please know that I'm not singling anyone here but this is a definite warning message from someone who has been through that hell one time.

For anyone who has married someone who had a TPO or PO of some sort. Do your homework!! I know in reading on these boards that many of you have some reall POS BM's to work with and some very shady characters...so consider this more as a "general safety advisory" if you may.

My BM drama for Labor day...what a B*%&*

So, both BF and I have the kids this wknd. Sat went good, Sunday was good. Of course his ex calls yesterday to see if their BD was coming home-knowing well that she was going back Monday. So-he reminds her they'll see her today-at evening. So BM obviously can't handle knowing her daughter has a good time with us. Has to try to "entice" her back. When it's my BF's time-of course!

OT-HELP with morning madness!!!

Ok-moms or stepmoms....any ideas appreciated.

How do you handle your morning craziness?? It's a struggle to get them out of bed-then to hurry and get dressed-then to rush them to eat some cereal-then rushing them to brush teeth as they mess around-then it's time to turn the high pitch yelling into action by insisting they get out the door...if shoes are in hand or I need to sign anything you forgot the night before-just go to the damn car and finish there-do NOT make us late again

My country stands for freedom-including of speech

SO-I have copied and pasted my thoughts on someone's blog because they have blocked me from responding. And that is there right Smile
Here's why I completely disagree with the "if you don't like it leave my country" pov..for one it seems to go hand in hand with people who's mindset is "agree with me or else" and "I cannot respect others point of view or opinions". It's correlates with the black/white mentality. No shade of grey allowed.

Pondering about personal responsibility here

overit2's picture

I posted this on someone else's blog-I'm not sure that was entirely appropiate-because really these are my own thoughts, so perhaps it belonged on my own first blog entry...so here it's copied and edited a bit to make it more generalized questions.

"I wonder what compelled anyone here to marry their SO that had kids.?
And how can we prevent more women from making the same mistake others did? I say this because it's obvious that everyone suffers. It's not fair to you, or the dad or the bm or the skids.
