So works all weekend and I look after my 3 kids and SD 7, we all had a good time preparing Easter stuff.
Then all the children watched a family movie and that meant that even the little ones (7 and passed their bedtime and didn't go before 9 pm.
Anyway, his daughter (7) and my daughter (16) have their own room whereas my two boys (8 and 12) share a quite big room.Lately there is a lot of arguing, talking and sillyness before the boys go to sleep- my older boy just started high school and really struggled with the fact that he needs to share with his brother inspite of a younger child (SD7) has her own room.
I know for sure that SD7 would be not good with sharing with my younger boy 8 , she has a single-child attitude about "her things" but on the other side really thinks she is entitled to other peoples belongings-it would have been too hard, plus a boy and a girl have so many different interests.
So there is no win win at the moment- the boys need to share for now.
Anyway I told SO that I am really annoyed with the boys fighting and even though we talked about certain strategies, he suddenly came up with how SD goes to sleep simply because he switches off her light and tells her to....
So, guys, you may understand my frustration because SO totally seems to have forgotten that SD put us through hell in the first month of dating by walking in to our room every single night, pretending illnesses, dragging him away in the early morning or wanting attention and being "held" all the time.
And he forgets how there never was a consequence for her at the beginning, he often sat with her coddling her half of the night, pretending it was nearly "morning", lol, ridiculous.Completely guilty Disney Dad syndrome and now he wants me to look at her as a golden example???
I am fuming.Does he suffer sudden memory loss???????
This is not long ago.He managed to be stricter and better to her and now she indeed lets us sleep, but HELLO!!!!! How long did that take for him to even understand that what he allowed her to do was wrong???
