I'm done--hiatus

Thanks for all the support ladies and gents, it's been great. Those who are close to me know how to contact me, and if you don't, I'll check in here over the next day or two to provide contact to specific people upon request.

I've had enough of the pee in the pool, I'm getting out.

Things will settle down eventually. I recall my own entry in to the StepTalk community. I got smacked around pretty good for a while.

As the saying goes, "this too shall pass". When it does, all will be right in the StepTalk world again.

You weathered the storm brilliantly Smile I have found that the private forum allows for a personal accountability I really respond to. I have always been very real with what I say here, and don't speak or act any differently online than I do in my "real time" life. I prefer to engage with people who behave in a similar way, so I think a private forum is a better fit for me. But it's true, I do like how dynamic this community is, and maybe in time I'll be back Smile

I think you have some of the most insightful advise and it would be a great loss for St if you did leave. On one of my posts you recommended that I read Rumi..

I haven't gotten the book yet, but yesterday they had a special on him on NPR and I thought about you when I listened. I sait to myself, "wow! NS really does know her stuff" ( I will be picking him up this week).

One can only hope!

I can understand your reasons for wanting to take a break -- but I hope you'll reconsider, as the more mature, respectful people who leave the site, the less likely the atmosphere is to improve.
