BM, SO and SS went to see the counselor. From what SO told me it was a complete joke. Seems to me like it was more about SO and BM arguing then about SS.

I guess they saw a counselor to be referred to the right counselor? Never hear of such a thing but I guess the guy wanted to know about their situation to best refer them to a counselor.

I was starting to get mad at SO just because of the stuff we was telling me they were fighting about. I even asked him, is this about you two or SS?

Anyway, the appt was at 9am. BM and SS showed up and SS was not dressed to be in public let alone to be going to school after the appt. BM and SS swore to SO that SS would be going to school after the appt.

The next night was open house and we spoke to SS's teacher. Guess who didn't show up for school the day before. The counseling thing is not going to work, AT ALL.

One...BM and SO fight like cats and dogs. There is no being polite for the sake of the kids
Two...BM lies to SO ALL the time and has the kids lie to him as well. How is SS supposed to learn respect and self-control if his own mother is teaching him the opposite of that.
Three...If they ever do get an appt with a "real" counselor, how will the Dr. be able to help if BM won't admit to all the shit she's done to these kids. She keeps saying that she's changed (NOT) now that she's married but gets pissed when SO "won't let go of the past"....Which was last school year. Not that long ago.

No word as to whether or not BM was contacted about the referral. SO hasn't heard anything. It will just be a waste of everyone's time....But his teacher and classmates will get a reprieve.
