Hi all!! I've missed popping in here to catch up, vent and take notes. I re-read my last blog post (almost a year ago) and figured out that I was doing OK on my own so to speak. But I missed being able to offer any nuggets of tolerance I could share with my fellow stepdragons. Wow, such an ugly nickname I gave myself, but apparently exBF probably sees it as a fitting one. Too bad for him I have left that life behind and it started when my kids and I moved away from him and his. New BF is not perfect (is there such a thing?) but he surely is a keeper. My 6yr old has him wrapped around her fingers like no other, but he knows enough to tone down the nonsense when necessary. He is very intuitive about something being wrong or someone not being sunshiny and smiley. He goes everywhere - shopping, fishing, just plain ole out and about. No more sitting at home for this momma My big kids like him, respect him and just in general don't think he's "stupid" like the last one who had no clue about relating or conversing on any level with them. In December he asked us to move in with him and we just finished that move. I had to wait until my littlest was done - didn't want to change schools mid-year on her. So, it will be a fresh start at a new elementary school for her but the same high school for the middle kiddo - lol only 5 schools in the county I do sometimes catch myself thinking we are just too busy but then I kick myself realizing I just sat around before and that this is what I always wanted was someone who wasn't ashamed of me and wanted to be seen out and about with lil ole me <3
